Created on the pages of a pre-loved book* my blackout poems tell hidden stories found within the exsisting text. They are all hand drawn using archival ink pens and initialled on the front.

The text in this poem reads:

So there I sat feelings buried

The book page measures 150mm x 233mm (6” x 9.25”) approx. For illustration purposes I have shown a photograph with the book page mounted and framed; the aperture of the mount used in the image is approx 5” x 7” .

*As the paper used is from a pre-loved book each piece may vary slightly in colour and the paper may not be perfect. Some are slightly yellowed in colour (esp. around the edges), they may have rippled, rough edges where they have been torn from the book and bent corners from the books usual wear and tear. I do only use paper I am happy with and that isn’t significantly damaged. I can provide more images if you require.
